So, the twins are looking to buy their first cars.
My parents bought my first car from the car sale, which is a local auction house where people can bring their used cars to be sold. So, I thought it would be a fun family outing to take them to the car sale to walk around and look.
Things have changed. We get there and they have this huge gate and a lot of security guards. They tell us we need to register inside this little building before we can walk around the lot and look at the cars.
Okay, no problemo. We go in to register, and you need a picture ID, you must be 16 or older, and it costs $25 per person to get in. What??
Needless to say, we left. With two not very happy teenaged girls. (I hate when you take your kids to do something they might enjoy doing with you, and it backfires, and then they’re all ticked off.)
Someone told me they changed things for insurance purposes. I don’t understand that, because it’s just a large parking lot. And, they bring the cars through one at a time. So, basically, taking your kids to Walmart would be a lot more dangerous.
And, the $25 entry fee. Who do they think they are? Six Flags? Why would anyone in their right mind pay $25 to enter a used car lot?
